A considered way to buy.
Unique vehicles reward a little homework. Use the listing to start a conversation, then verify the details that matter to you.
1. Understand who is selling
The named seller offers the vehicle. On authorized dealer listings, Unorthodox manages inquiries on the dealer’s behalf. The listing identifies that arrangement. Email, identity, dealer and ownership badges describe separate recorded checks; they do not guarantee condition, clear title or a completed sale.
2. Ask before you travel
Confirm availability, mileage, title status, ownership, known flaws, modifications and service records. Ask for current photos of anything unclear. Keep the conversation in your inbox, where you can propose a viewing or inspection and receive confirmation from the other party.
Open your inbox3. Arrange an independent inspection
Choose a mechanic familiar with the model. Agree on access, the inspection scope and the fee before booking. A vehicle history report complements a mechanical inspection. The FTC’s used-car guide explains what to review with a dealer.
4. Get the complete price in writing
Ask the seller for an itemized final price covering the vehicle, applicable taxes, title and registration, dealer charges, and any optional transport or inspection services. Review deposits, refund terms, warranty terms and any financing directly with the relevant provider. This site does not collect a vehicle payment or deposit.
5. Verify the paperwork and handover
Confirm the seller’s identity and authority, the VIN, title documents and any lien-release arrangements. Agree in writing on payment, possession, included items and transport. Independently verify payment instructions with the seller through a known contact method before transferring funds.
For Texas title and registration steps, use the current TxDMV buying and selling guidance and your county tax office. Requirements depend on the transaction.
