Overview Specifications Documents Background About the fifth-generation Viper The fifth-generation Viper returned for 2013, sold as the SRT Viper for 2013 and 2014 and as a Dodge again from 2015. Its 8.4-liter V10 makes 640 horsepower (645 from 2015), still with a six-speed manual only, and it was the first Viper with electronic stability control. Carbon-fiber and aluminum body panels cut weight, and the GTS added adjustable dampers and a more finished interior. The cars were hand-built in Detroit until production ended in 2017.
