The sixth-generation Camaro moved to GM's lighter Alpha platform, shared with the Cadillac ATS and CTS, and was widely praised as one of the best-handling cars in its class. SS models use the 6.2-liter LT1 V8 rated at 455 horsepower. The 1LE track package, offered on the SS from 2017, adds Magnetic Ride Control, an electronic limited-slip differential, larger Brembo brakes, extra cooling and a satin-black hood. Production ended after the 2024 model year.
