The Taycan is Porsche's first electric car, launched for 2020. Its 800-volt electrical system allows very fast DC charging, and a two-speed transmission on the rear axle helps both acceleration and high-speed efficiency. Turbo and Turbo S are trim names here, not a description of the hardware: both use two motors and all-wheel drive. It is built in Zuffenhausen alongside the 911.
